Comments :- This site is very nice because of its location. It has recently had a new toilet and shower block that are around the best I have ever seen in this country. The local area is good for almost any type of break. The campsite is set on heathland on teh cliff top, and so it is very dificult unless you know the place to get a flat pitch.

Comments :- This is not an official site, and can only be used by D of E groups by prior arrangment with the owners. It is not a site to go to for a full period, but is ideal for overnight, or two day stop for training.

Dorset.

Comments :- This is a luxury site run by Haven, and you pay for it. The toilets are plenty, but never quite feel clean. The showers however are good. The site has a shop, bar, and swimming pool with shoot. The entire place is nicely landscaped with picnic benches dotted around.

Comments :- This site attracts everybody, and anybody all year round. It is very nicely sighted for acces to most of the Lakes, and the entire site is nice and flat (if difficult to peg). It can at times attract some less savory characters, but there is a warden on site. There is a small shop on site, selling essentials, and a phone box. The site is run by the National Trust, but members do not get any discount at all, which is a shame because it is priced slightly higher than some of it other rivals. The toilets are good, and the showers used to be excellent, but too few. Now there are plenty but very poor.

Comments :- This is a basic site, with a long walk to the limited toilet facilities and water if you camp in the wrong place, however I have regularly drunk from the stream. It is a simple site, but very good. Care however should be taken on access, many a car and minibus exchange paint for dents.

Gillside.

Comments :- This is very much a family site during the summer, and school holidays. On bank holidays you have to be there early to get a pitch, and to get a good one you need to be there on the Thursday. They also have a 3 day rule over bank holidays. The toilets are reasonable, but too few for anything over a quater full site. It is very well located, but dont get caught out on the aproach by the footpath sign to it. The owners sell sweets, gas, etc. The showers are pay.

Comments :- This site is nice because of its location. It is one of a very limited number in the area to take tents. The toilet facilities are poor, but it is mostly designed for caravans. This site is perfectly adequate for its purpose, but not luxury.

Comments :- A very nice site, with good pitches dotted all around the dunes on which it sits. It has a nice toilet block, although limited, and very good facilities. The site always feels nice, however ity has some access restriction for vechles due to part of its acess road being a tidal causway. It is possible to access the site at all times via the footpath though. The price is very good for the site quality. There is a bar, an entertainments lounge, shop, and phone boxes. This is a very nice holiday site in season, but prone to wind.

Comments :- This site has nothing! There are no toilets, no water, nobody. It is basicly a field with a raodway, and an honesty box. It is nice for a stop over night, and at times you can have it to yourself, which can be nice.

Comments :- This site tends to suffer from mud, wind, and a slight slope. The toilets are limited, as is the water, and the whole place is a little rough, however the price reflect this, and it is a good group site. It is idealy located for the area, and has easy access. In the summer months the site is very nice for use, but out of season be prepared for the weather.

Yorkshire Moors.

Comments :- This site is mostly caravan, and this is reflected in the quality. The toilet block is excellent, as are all of the other facilities. There is a shop, and phone box. The land is excellent. A very good site.

Flask Inn

Comments :- The entire site slopes, and the chance of finding a flat section is low. It is however quite smooth, and the access is good. The toilets are not particularly presentable once inside, (the brease block look), but they are perfectly adequate for the site. The price is good, and the location is very good.

Comments :- This site is in the center of Edale, and has the post office attached to it, so perfect shop facilities. The toilets arent bad, and the site is fairly good in general, but vey open to all the day trippers in Edale. A nice site for the area.
